The City of Chino offers open spaces, a high standard of living, a variety of recreation activities and excellent schools. Situated in San Bernardino County, Chino is located in a lush valley below the San Gabriel Mountains. Continued controlled growth from a farming community to a thriving city gives residents a strong sense of pride in their hometown. A farmer’s market offers fresh produce, crafts and live entertainment from May through September. Excellent shopping can be found at Chino Spectrum, with over 110 retailers, eateries and restaurants in a distinctive outdoor setting. There is no shortage of recreation for Chino residents. The city has numerous parks, with athletic fields, picnic areas, playgrounds, and basketball, tennis, and volleyball courts, and two recreation centers. Classes, programs, activities are available for all ages, from tiny tots to senior citizens. Nearby Chino Hills State Park has trails for biking, hiking and horseback riding. An hour’s drive east are ski areas in Big Bear, Wrightwood and Mt. Baldy; an hour west is the Pacific Ocean. Chino Valley Unified School District provides an excellent education for the city’s children. Within 30 miles are 21 private and public colleges and universities. Chino is a growing city, with the newest development at The Preserve, where 2,500 acres of farm land will be converted into residential, commercial, and industrial entities. Another 2,500 acres will remain open for recreational and agricultural use. Chino residents have easy access to area freeways making San Bernardino, Riverside, Los Angeles, and Orange counties easily reachable.

The real estate market is primarily detached single-family homes on average sized lots starting in the low $300,000s for mature smaller homes to just under $1 million for new construction homes. Condominiums and townhouses start in the low $200,000s up to the high $400,000s for larger, newer units.
